Alexis Weber has been a registered nurse since 2012 after she obtained her Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing degree from Millikin University in Decatur, IL.  She began her nursing career on a neurosurgical unit and transferred to the Emergency Department (ED) after 1 year. She obtained her Master’s in Science of Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2017 from University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. Her nurse practitioner career began at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2017 in the Anesthesiology- Interventional Pain Department and she continues to work there today.

Alexis became the team lead nurse practitioner in January 2020 within her department and is enjoying learning more about leadership. She is also the advanced practice liaison for outpatient surgical, ortho, and neuro clinics at Vanderbilt. She has taught as adjunct faculty at Belmont University in the past. Alexis is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, Tennessee Nurses Association, and Tennessee Pain Society.

She has presented in the area of pain management at local and national events. She loves teaching, leading, and precepting new providers. She is passionate about helping patients find alternative and safe ways to treat chronic pain. She is married and recently had her first baby. She loves living in Nashville, TN and enjoys traveling and attending concerts.
